Looking for inspirational / contemporary fashion designers to collaborate with for our Fedrigoni brief, whilst looking for a fashion designer these are the main areas i focused on:
- Geomtry.
- Colour.
- Innovative.
- International.
Here is the list i put together.
Chin 'winnie' Wong.
BFA Fashion Design graduate Chin ‘Winnie’ Wong has the best of both worlds. Born in Hong Kong and raised in San Jose, Winnie combines the east and west in her creations.
Some fashion grouse might say that it has been done before and the idea has been executed time and time again. Still, Winnie’s angle is different. Inspired by the simple inventive geometric wooden box made by artist Kay Sekimachi, the AAU grad created architectural silhouettes that is reminiscent of origami.
Issey Miyaki.
So far this seems flawless for a concept, if we proposed a collaboration between Fedrigoni and Issey Miyaki for some form of fashion show or exhibition we could create a campaign and publication for the event also showcasing Fedrigoni papers this could be a hit, the geometric crafts and folds are perfect for our project.
Agatha Ruiz De La Prada.
A Spanish fashion designer with a lot to offer in terms of colour which could be a very strong point for our project, we need a designer with a bold use of colour, this could allow us to experiment more with different types of paper enabling us to showcase as much as possible.
Alexandra Zaharova.
Oragami inspired fashion, perfect for what we are looking for, these designs could be really interesting to use for this project, very simple very effective designs and would work wonderfully in a smaller scale also.
