RAC design

Not construction at all but seen as though my client used an RAC van i thought id look into their branding and see how they go about their campaigns, nothing special really but simple layout and colour choice along side only relevant information.

RAC

My client used an old RAC van for his transport, so i wanted to have a look at the type of design they use, really simple and high impact, plus they use a very large logo in order to be noticed, i'm really happy with my clients choice of colour it makes him very recognisable, the design direction of RAC is something i will consider within my designs.

Mugs.

Stumbled across this image today, got some ideas flowing, i want to create a mug my client can take to jobs seen as though construction men get through 20 bru's a day, this would give my client a professional yet friendly humorous feel, which matches my cousins personality perfectly.

Pastel colours.

The stock choice for these books are really nice, all the colours work great with solid black imagery and type, i would like to keep a simple but effective design delivering the message clearly.

Pantone.

These hand made second hand Pantone booklets are a great idea, in terms of getting the swatches easily bound and simple to look through i was thinking of creating a few pull out pieces of paper including swatches in them, that can also be taken out, this way the reader interacts with the publication and thus the paper again.

At the bottom is an example of how the swatches would be held in place along a thin strip of black paper.

Rainbook.

A book perfectly relevant to what we would like to propose, a stationary pack for our design agencies, instead of showing off the pencils it would be the paper we are showcasing, but this creative idea is great inspiration into what our project could be and how we can go about getting the paper noticed.

Mega Origami.

Considering we are proposing to create huge origami designs around the catwalk based on Issey Miyake's work, i decided to research life size origami pieces to gain more inspiration for things we could design, the first i found is a piece of design from a blog under the alias Leopard thunder, unfortunately i cannot source this piece correctly but still the inspiration is there, The second is Jim Mockford, a Japanese language teacher in Washington State, USA, reports that in the fall of 1995 a class of 20 of his students made an ori-tsuru (paper crane), out of a single sheet of paper that measured over 23 feet wingtip to wingtip.

And the third is from the burning man festival 2011, two giant life size origami pieces of dinosaur, ready to be burned down at the end of the festival.
