Wickes.

Wickes, another Do it yourself company, the reason i am choosing these brand are due to the high consumer rate, the design is very simple and to the point, a slogan is something i may consider, he may give him more of a reputation, the only problem with wickes i've found is the website, i think it's horrible the design is so over crowed and not well considered, i aim to create an easy to use clear and clean web site for my clients design.

B&Q

Can't believe i've only just remembered B&Q a great inspiration for my design direction, also their colour scheme is orange and white another thing i failed to notice until now, really simple, friendly clear graphic design, across a range of product and promotion, the lorry designs and the aprons are something i need to consider, especially with expanding my range.

Tools.

Looking into joinery tools to see if theirs anything i can work with, i'm thinking of designing a set of icons to go along side designs, i aim to create a set for hand tools and table tools, luckily these tools are all easily recgonisable and should be fine to create vector icons for.

Vans.

Thinking about how to take the van design for my client, after browsing the web i have found a few considered van designs, the majority of construction workers vans are designed by who ever owns the van, leaving it looking not thought through and ugly, it's been quite a task trying to find remotely nice ones, it seems the more simple the better, i will consider this within my designs.

RAC design

Not construction at all but seen as though my client used an RAC van i thought id look into their branding and see how they go about their campaigns, nothing special really but simple layout and colour choice along side only relevant information.

RAC

My client used an old RAC van for his transport, so i wanted to have a look at the type of design they use, really simple and high impact, plus they use a very large logo in order to be noticed, i'm really happy with my clients choice of colour it makes him very recognisable, the design direction of RAC is something i will consider within my designs.

Mugs.

Stumbled across this image today, got some ideas flowing, i want to create a mug my client can take to jobs seen as though construction men get through 20 bru's a day, this would give my client a professional yet friendly humorous feel, which matches my cousins personality perfectly.
